If you want a soft shooting 9mm, buy a 1911.. They are heavy, but that weight equals less felt recoil so even on a hot load they are a lot softer than your plastic M&P is going to feel

I'm running xtreme bullets 165gr 9mm over 2.8gr of viht n320 at 1.14" oal. Recoils like a 22mag with a 13lb spring

I used to have a bunch of 158 grain lead 9mm bullets. I used 1.8 grains of Bullseye and shot them from a Browning HiPower. They worked well.

The problem was that every now and then the powder charge fell short of full, and I would get one stuck in barrel---.
