Not the way it works. An earthquake would be least of our problems. Super volcanos don't ooze out lava and make mountains. The magma chamber is like a balloon of molten rock. Everything is fine as long as the chamber stays full and the walls and ceiling stay put. They are dangerous when the magma level goes down and/or the roof collapses. This releases all of the built up pressure and the gasses and water in the rock which explodes.



Doubtful, any more than a nuke could make California slide off into the Pacific ocean (but we can still hope right?).

It's still not something to worry about. If it happens it happens. It cannot be prevented. I will be prepared and I suggest others do too, but don't lose sleep over it.

Rumor has it that a small suitcase size nuke detonated in the park could set off the volcano and then most of America would be toast. Only a rumor though. It can't happen here because we live in America and nothing bad can happen to us (sarcasm off)

You're exactly correct...we should be worried far more about the disgruntled members of the Lollipop Guild attacking from their inner Earth base.

Seriously though, all you can do is prepare as best you can and hope you never need it or it happens.

Hopefully there is a really freakish south westerly storm that day and all the ash settles on Kalifornia. That would be nice.

Super volcanoes are no joke and could be global killers. Enough debris floating in the atmosphere could block the sunlight for months. No plant life and acid rain not good.

Why is this in Area 51? Im pretty sure the caldera under the park, if it blows like it has in the past would be catastrophic. Its a plume volcano and not a fault line volcano.
