Watch the fine print on the back of the check. They often put wording back there that releases them from any further liability above your signature block.

I didn't recall any wording on the back....but you have me wondering.....

Some SOB at this same intersection pulled over into my lane without looking.... I almost plowed him.... My new F150 doesn't have the tinted driver's window.... this guy could see me and hear me addressing this situation..... I calmed down slightly and could see he had his hands up apologizing.... but dang... really... I was t-boned there three weeks ago......

Twice recently on my way home I've had people nearly drive into me while switching lanes. First time was on 78 and a car full of male juveniles who looked at me like it was my fault for being in my lane when the decided to change lanes. No gestures of apology, only mean mugged. Second time was this past Tuesday when a young female driver did the same thing. When I passed her she was on her phone and wouldn't even look at me let alone make any kind of "I'm sorry" gesture. ****in' people.
