I wish I knew how to make knives. I love to collect just dont have the time to take up any new hobbies with 3 little ones running around
I like those. wish I would have saved the skull intact now but since it was my first deer my nerves and adrenalin didnt have me thinking straight.
Congratulation on first deer. I killed a bunch of does before my first buck,then it seemed like it just got easier to see the bucks.
Before you cut up the skull cap, wait about 3 weeks. Take the skull cap with you to the woods and rub it on a tree like a little buck would. I know the does are coming to this sound right now where we hunt and you just might piss off the alpha buck in the area and get a shot on him. A little rubbing and a hot doe call work should work wonders leading up to the rut.
