settled with ole faithful(st augustine). just south of st aug beach at crescent beach gets you oceanfront for cheaper than ssi. ssi has very few oceanfront options and the few they have are big $. crescent beach will likely remain our go to

That means you get to travel up 95 and stop at TWO Buccess! Lol

Highly recommended - conveniently located. The island is small enough to easily move about the entire GA Gold Coast area.

I went to Saint Simons once and Jekyll twice they're nice enough but don't plan on going into the water --the water at the beach is ugly and smelly.

I couldn't agree more! I tell EVERYONE, unless you like biting flies, gators in the surf, rattlesnakes, sharks and mosquitos... SSI and JI are not for you! GO TO TYBEE!!! 😉

We’ve owned a place on St Simons since 2000. My wife and family love, I’d sell it and buy lake property in the mountains if they would let me. Hate the sand. On a positive note it’s worth a small fortune. Barbra Jeans sucks, they haven’t changed the menu in 25 years or decorated, just bland food. Wolf Island Oyster Co is our new favorite.
