Thanksgiving Dinner 2025

We go big and southern style on the holidays. Salad, Turkey, dressing, creamed corn, deviled eggs, gravy, yeast rolls, butter beans, green bean casserole, ambrosia salad. Everything is home made. We’re not big on desserts, so it’s usually a store-bought pie or two. Leftovers go fast!

I'm not sure what we will do. Have two elderly parents to tend to. If one goes to family, it'll be easier to figure out. Last year we stayed home and cooked our own, it was good. My Wife just had surgery.
We used to have 2 family gatherings to go to. It was hectic and a long day. But always enjoyable. I always felt blessed to have 2 family gatherings to go to. My Wife and I may have to go separately to our families. We've had to do that several times

I used to have two family dinners.....very difficult to eat at both places, and please the separate cooks.....they always scrutinized my plate....I think they were trying to see which place I preferred to eat at.....a lot of pressure!!!

Been several years since ive done a turkey. Gonna do one this year in the Oilless fryer and 2 chickens on the grill.
Injected the day before and leave them in a cooler.

Family is doing Publix again this year. There will be about 30 of us and Mom doesn't cook anymore. Most of us are meeting up day before, so cooking is not really an option other than deserts. Paper plates, plastic silverware, plastic glasses, and an extra large trash bag to handle clean up. It's more about getting family together than cooking for 2 days.
