At least that would make sense.
This is second hand information, but I trust it. It seems that the reason he was arrested and held was that he confessed to the kidnapping. Now, is there a language barrier going on? Who knows. But he confessed to Acworth PD and that's why they cuffed him.
I bet it's an " I shot the clerk" moment, if they have a confession.

I highly doubt he confessed to kidnapping. Probably confessed that he was going to pick up the child or was attempting too and they went with that as kidnapping.
My suspicion is that there is a language barrier. He probably didn't realize he was confessing to kidnapping...and the local PD probably didn't bother with a translator. I have several friends who live in Acworth. Small town with a growing Indian population. Former neighbor is on the PD there. I reached out and asked why he got locked up and he said "He confessed." Soooo....
You won't find a lazier bunch of cops than Acworth. Cauble Park is a free for all and they don't care. Locals and families don't come here anymore because it's not safe.
