The best whiskey in the world is...Japanese???

If you like the blue and the gold though, Lagavulin is 50 times more peat and smoke than the other two. It's more peat than 95% of all Scotches most likely. I like them all 3 but totally different tastes......Lagavulin is smoke in a bottle. Drink it neat in a snifter.

YES, Lagavulin is a superb single malt Scotch. Sipped neat from a snifter with a good cigar is paradise.

Lagavulin is very balanced with heather and honey to equalize the peat smoke. If you're truly after lots of peat, save yourself $50 a bottle and get a bottle of Laphroaig 10. Twice the smoke as Lagavulin, but without the wonderful balance.

Used to be you went into Okinawan clubs they all drank JW Red mixed with water.
Only the rich guys had the Black.
IIRC: They all had to buy their own bottle, and pay for the service.
I saw a bottle of wine in a shop in Naha, Okinawa one time with a big IMPORTED sign under it. It was Boone's Farm.
They only seemed to drink sake on special occasions.
