Saw this earlier today. Not cheap, but looks pretty cool. The model with the GPS tracking seems really nice in the event of a theft.

I like the RFid bracelet, but wish it didnt have the name of the product on it.
Someone sees that on your wrist and they know you might not be armed, or have a firearm locked up someplace else.

I think some of the models use the biometric thumb print scanner. I'm not sure how well they work though.
I would try the biometric and add my wife's print.
The downside to the RF version is that she would need a bracelet as well and not to sure about wearing one at night just to be able to open the box.
Too many questions to answer. Battery life of the backup, plan B in case of rfid tag loss, etc...
