The Hi Point Thread

I think they're great range toys, but did they bring them as a joke?

No sir. In one case, a student wanted to take a class with his wife and he needed two carbines. He had an AR and the Hi Point. I offered to loan an AR to them, but he wanted her to use what they actually owned. I can’t begin to count how many times it malfunctioned during the 8 hour course.

I had a 9mm carbine. Very accurate, never malfunctioned. I think they're ugly looking.
Maybe this will help. The new Hi Point bullpup from High Tower Armory.

Y'all are making me want to go buy one of these stupid things just so I can torture test it myself.

You will probably fail. That seems to be the You Tube theme... try and kill a HP and end up having to admit that they simply work.

I’ve only had a few of the Hi Point 9mm carbines show up in my classes, but none were reliable. This was during 500-650 round count days.

Curious as to what failed on them. I'll admit I never put 500 rounds through any of mine in a single session, but they are too dang simple to have all that many problems. The only hiccups I ever saw with the carbines was using the ProMag extended magazines.
