Yeah I got a text from claiming he had shot at a "big" doe but rushed the shot and it ran off. He couldn't even tell me where he was aiming lol. He was convinced he missed but I almost tripped over it when I came to get him. It ran just out of sight. Lots of rookie mistakes but all turned out good. And yes I told him that the people at the processor would make him feel better about shooting a young deer by telling him "it sure will eat good".If it was his first, he was probably just over excited and had an itchy trigger finger to land one. I bet it was tender.
He owes me big. Guess who had to field dress it? Nope not Mr. Foster. The pic had to be cropped to sanitize it for the ODT lol.Poor lil fella was gut shot. I refused to eat any of it! Not even a piece of jerky.

jeffdt I understand you may know the gentleman (term used loosely in his case) in the pic below. Unfortunately he can't remember his ODT handle so can you tell him I ran across the pic of the baby deer he killed at my place back in November and decided to post it since it was his first? Also be sure and congratulate him.....it takes some talent to hit something that small.
