The Official ODT Bourbon Club

Willett is good. $225 for an 8yr wheater it is definitely not a value bottle. I’d say there is better for less out there. Solid pour though. Did you grab it?
Interesting story on the duke. He was a huge turkey guy so they approached wt. They didn’t have the capacity so wt had bt distill their mash bill. A whiskey sourcer has been bottling it and there is some 15yr frankenturkey floating around. I’m not sure who is distilling the stuff on the shelf’s you can find now
I did not grab it. My kentucky friend urged me to get it. She is very high on it.

I wanted to try the Duke because the discount puts it in a pretty solid price for 10 year category. But then I thought...i have tons of eagle "not so" rare 10 year and just decided to pass on it

Thanks for the info. Care to lower your chances of winning by offering suggested locations? Total Wine said you have to be in their exclusive club and have spent "x" amount of dollars at their store to even be considered.

I cannot find E.H. Taylor anywhere for less than $150 with a silly store pick as well.

the ones i know about are all way on my side of town. i would just start going and looking around all of your local places and asking if they'll be doing a raffle. Also if your on facebook look up georgia bourbon community and allocated bourbon and allocated bourbon search of atlanta and ask for recommendations from folks in your area.

but also had a good week :becky:

You sure did! I grabbed a makers heart release this week. It’s a good pour. I don’t think i would give more the the $80 I gave for it though. It’s the first markers stave finish I’ve picked up in years. the FAE series was the last. Didn’t hear any good things about the releases after those so I passed. We had some friends coming for dinner Tuesday who were in bc of the mess in Asheville. I knew he was a makers fan so I grabbed it hoping to brighten his day a bit.

I can’t stand it when places do that. I typically don’t play that game. I’ll just pass. Especially if they don’t let you try the SP first. Been burned on too many $100 SP’s that are mid grade a best.
