Just a little update... WallsGA, GAK9 and I met (virtually) to discuss our progress on the private barrel purchase. The main things we still need to get lined up:

  1. A liquor store (owner) that is not anti gun.

  3. We are committed to securing a barrel with broad appeal so there are no issues with it selling.

I have done several single barrel pecks with new riff. They’re always pretty solid. If you go that route you do not have to have a liquor store. We always just drive up there and pick it up. Just an option

We have found a store owner who meets our criteria and is willing to assist. He said our best shot will be brands owned by Sazerac. See post #45 in this thread (page 5). He asked for a list of 3 options we would be interested in. I would have posted a poll, but I don't see how to insert one in an existing thread, so I propose the following...

Weller Antique
EH Taylor Single Barrel

There are other fan favorites such as Buffalo Trace, Blanton's, Bowman Brothers and 1792, but I've seen these around. The list above is more rare, and by rare, I mean actually rare, not ODT Glock rare.

What say you ODT Bourbon Club?

I plan on sending him the list Friday morning, so speak up!

I’ve got Stagg Jr so I’d be in for a 107 or EHT Single barrel. All this depending on price and how many people obviously.
