All in on the Russel’s. Looks like it’s been hit the hardest
The latest batch "19" or 22B is actually a very easy sipper for 130proof. Very nice.
Gotta make room for some Russel's picks coming in so been working on the single barrels for sure.
That's a sad one if it was a good one. I'm like 50/50 on good and bad Henry McKennas. Hate to see a good one go as I'm not sure if the next one will be good or bad. So much variety in their barrels.

I'm not in the same league as many of you connysewers, but I'm hoping we have some on this thread that could give me some insight into what's going on with Makers Mark. The last bottle I bought (1.75 liters- 45% Alc./Vol.) had a coarser, less smooth taste, and had lost the "sweet" nose that attracted me to the brand in the first place.
I e-mailed Makers Mark about this 2 months ago but haven't heard back from them. I have preferred this bourbon for the last 20-25 years and haven't noticed this much of a variance in drinkability before. I do like it with a "splash" of water which is usually filtered refrigerator water, but I have found the same coarser taste with bottled water. Also, everything else I drink or eat tastes exactly the same as it did 25 years ago so I have ruled out physiological changes on my part due to aging.
A quick search on Google showed that others have found the same thing. Is this the new standard going forward?

I bought this table at a yard sale for $15. That's real marble. It fit my needs perfectly.
