The P7 is Coming Back and Bringing Some New Friends

I has a couple when they first came to the US as surplus. Very cool guns, the squeeze cocker was fairly intuitive, but the heat was a deal-killer. It would get too hot to handle after a box or so of ammo, so any practice would be limited or slow. A great carry gun, though, if you don't need much practice.

We'll see.

The early P7 pistol did not have a heat shield over the trigger, they would become very hot during rapid fire. The latter model guns like the P7m8, m10, and m13 had heat shields.

The P7 was never intended to be fired a lot for sustained periods when originally designed.

The HK P7 burn was a right of passage and a badge of ownership....kinda like garand thumb...

I look at this like I did those Golani/Galil clones a few years back. The originals were both awesome guns that I've been slobbering over for decades, but these later clones hold almost zero interest for me.
