Boat ownership, in a nutshell.

The pain in the ass of:
Buying a boat
Paying for the boat
Repairing the boat ( props, skags, lower units, etc..)
Loading the boat for a day on the water
Fueling the boat
Hauling the boat
Launching the boat
Parking the trailer
Paying launch fees ( park fees)
Putting the boat back on the trailer
Hauling the boat home
Cleaning the boat to get ready for the next trip …………..

All goes away when you’re ripping across the water on a 6 inch chop at full trim with the wind in your face….

Just give a stranger $2000, let a patch of grass die off in your yard and save the rest of the hassle.

I disagree about about having boat or children -
kids all enjoyed the boats and now my oldest and his wife a seeing to me in my old age --
boat can be a real drag when you can no longer man the helm or downhaul the mainsail --

Let's not forget about all the vehicle break-ins at boat ramps while you're out enjoying your money pit...
Nothing screams I'm available to pilfer more than a truck sitting at a boat ramp for most of the day.
