This years deer gun

Its old but still works like the day it was born in the 1800s. The bayonet doubles a stake to hold the rifle straight when using it to get up steep slopes

Savage 840 Scout Rifle that I resurrected from the depths of despair. She was an ugly ducking for sure. I sanded and refinished the stock with a hand rubbed oil finish, buffed it down to reduce the sheen, added a barrel band sling swivel so she’ll carry low on my shoulder, had her drilled and tapped, added a scout rail and a Vortex Crossfire Scout 2-7x32 ier scope. She’s bore sighted and ready to zero in. I’ll take care of that tomorrow after I hunt.

I have a few on deck. M77 tang safety 7x57, Handi-Rifle 444, 788 in 243, Howa Mini Grendel and Remington 81 in 35 Remington. I would appreciate someone picking a lead off for me.

My wife and I hunt with a pair of A-Bolt Medallions. Mine is a .270 and her's is a Micro .308. I use her's every chance I get because it works so much better in a small stand. Problem is she loves to hunt and gets mad if I seek off and leave her home...... Not really, She is the best part of hunting and I am blessed to have such a great hunting buddy.
