Thousands of Teenage Thugs Takeover & Shut Down Kentucky Mall

love that statement!!!
macon has long been on the edge of becoming a third world country, some say it already is. ( i think so.)
I knew it was all over for Macon when they reelected Jack Ellis. Then under the current mayor they had to combine the city and county governments. Well the people that lived out in the county didn't want anything to do with that. One guy I talked to summed it up real quick and to the point. He said that the city was broke and needed a bailout from the county. Think about it. The tax PAYERS have all left the city and some even left Bibb Co all together. So all that is left is tax consumers. It was starting to effect the neighboring areas as far as the crime and businesses leaving. I was SO glad to put middle GA in the rear view!
They need to post signs along 16 and 75 that read " Welcome to Macon EBT capital of Georgia".

Domestic Terrorism at its finest.

Yes I said it.. its terrorism because people are too afraid of being labeled racist or fearing retaliation in the form of destruction and looting of the town to do anything about it, including arresting them as allowed by the law.

There is a difference between peaceful protest and harming someones lively hood and peoples lives like that. MLK knew the difference and straddled the line from time to time but never crossed it. I often wonder what his reaction would be to today's "protesters"

I don't agree with stomping on or burning the flag. In fact it right pisses me off and I think its very disrespectful, but I do recognize it as a form of legal expression and would defend it to my last breathe as I would any other civil right because at the end of the day I think the people doing it are only doing it because its the cool thing to do now and don't understand at all what they are doing or how disillusioned the reasoning is behind it and that makes me more sad than anything else.

In the end stomping/burning the flag is disrespectful but it doesn't do any physical damage to you or me, closing down highways/shops can and does cause physical damage to people in the way of lost income, and can kill someone when an ambulance, firetruck, or cop car cant get to their destination and that is unconstitutional and unacceptable not to mention illegal. I say do whatever you want as long as it does not infringe on the rights or liberties of others, that's when you are crossing the line.

Post the news reports showing the numbers were exaggerated. And why you're at it, can you also show news reports from some major news outlets that reported this event???
Well neither of us was there and there are few primary sources. Most just repeat the police official's number of '1000 to 2000'. 1000 is an awful lot of people and if you need help with the math 2000 is twice as many. There is something unbelievable about such a wide range of 'rioters'.
No reported property damage or injuries. The only videos are of people leaving the mall after it was closed.
Mall management will not allow media on site, so I doubt there will be much more reported.

No help with math needed. :thumb: Just looking for help with the "supposed" exaggeration. And I guess at this point we can say it is an "exaggeration" to suggest there was an exaggeration of the reported numbers...
