I knew it was all over for Macon when they reelected Jack Ellis. Then under the current mayor they had to combine the city and county governments. Well the people that lived out in the county didn't want anything to do with that. One guy I talked to summed it up real quick and to the point. He said that the city was broke and needed a bailout from the county. Think about it. The tax PAYERS have all left the city and some even left Bibb Co all together. So all that is left is tax consumers. It was starting to effect the neighboring areas as far as the crime and businesses leaving. I was SO glad to put middle GA in the rear view!love that statement!!!
macon has long been on the edge of becoming a third world country, some say it already is. ( i think so.)
They need to post signs along 16 and 75 that read " Welcome to Macon EBT capital of Georgia".
