Set out this morning with my crappie rods and a bucket full of minnows. Didn’t catch a single crappie. But did land two good size cats. They were a fight I wasn’t prepared for on the light tackle. Was a good day on the water still!

After having one flop off near shore because dad forgot the net, and another break off, my boy finally got his monster cat.

Went out to the reservoir yesterday. Turned out pretty good. 2 bass, 5 crappie. Smallest crappie was 12”, largest was 15”. Big bass was 22”, 4.6 lbs and could fit my fist in the mouth. Great morning on the water. All were caught by 0830. The little fish was a tiny bass the crappie had eaten
