Welp, got word from the gunsmith this morning I've successfully shot out the 1:14 twist Wilson barrel on my Winchester Heavy Varmint chambered in 22-250. Whats with barrel makers taking 6-8 months on putting out barrels. Thats nuts! I haven't bought a centerfire barrel in 10-15 years so this was a big shock to me. I ended up going back to 22-250 but with a 1:8 twist Dan Muller 4 groove cut rifled M24 profile Stainless steel barrel. The smith is going to finish it at 26" like the original barrel and do a target crown.

I called and spoke with them about the 3 brands they had in stock and damned if they didn't recommend the cheapest of the 3. Muller works, Kreiger, and Custom rifle barrels were the 3 manufacturers they had in stock.
