Time for a new barrel

Barrel has been delivered and hopefully will be done by middle of next week.

So the barrel manufacturer did not list any break-in instructions on their website so I emailed them and this is what I got in return. I found it quite interesting.

Barrel break in on high end barrels is a myth. I would just shoot it and clean it once accuracy drops off.

Got the gun back today. Went to chamber a round and the bolt wouldn’t close. Even on factory loaded ammo. Smith took it back and is going to open the throat out some. He admitted to making the chamber tight. I don’t turn down case necks so he’s going to sort the issue out Monday and get it back to me asap. Damn does it look good though!

So, what smith doesn't cut a chamber to fit factory ammo?as in, they never check the chamber?

Yeah dude should’ve asked what are you shooting? It’s cool he can cut tight chambers, but who’s shooting a tight chambered .22-250?? lol
That was my thought but, alas he’s making it right with the quickness. So I can’t complain much about the inconvenience
