I forgot to mention in the op that it is a Sig Certified Pre-Owned 226R.

I have so never shot a Sig of any kind.

Nothing wrong with a CPO - I'd trade for it and never look back. Put a Wilson spring in it and you'll never want anything striker fired again.

What do you mean by a Wilson Spring? I know nothig about Sigs.

You can easily replace the factory mainspring to greatly improve the DA trigger pull. It's a wolf spring - not Wilson. My bad, I was thinking of magazines.

You'll want to look at the hammer springs. I put a 17lb in my P229 and it feels and shoots great,

I own both and a Sig is much smoother.... However, I carry a Glock. Sigs are a peach to shoot! Glocks are fun. Sigs are great guns and so are Glocks. I carry a Glock. Did I mention that. Either way. own both and shoot both. You will like both!

One thing to remember. Shoot it before you swap out the spring. You may find it works fine for you.
