We dont kill doe like maybe we should. However the hunting is good and stays good through Dec. That second rut is when it can be really be good for big boys. Plenty doe left over i guess. One thing I noticed is quite a reduction in doe numbers this year. Then I heard the yotes all night, all around. Near and far and daylight too. I only saw a few fawns last hunt. Id guess the yotes are doing the management.

Got me a nice doe in SW Colorado on Sunday morning. She was with a group of 6 does grazing a hay field at 200 yards. One shot from my Remington 700 in 7mm08.

I seen one this year.. I wont be seeing him again I promise you that.. he laid and suffered till he took his last breath. I stood over him and said you ain’t worth another bullet suffer you pos.. my 3006 de gutted him with the one bullet

Most years I don't kill a buck, but I always give the does some headaches.

hunt to eat. take the does and put them in the freezer. you only get 2 bucks. if you are just rack hunting go to a strip club with some ones.

My hunting season has been a bust this yr.. about 2 does and I’d be sit.. but I ain’t seeing anything lately at all
