Tornado Sirens Wailing in Milledgeville

TIL we now have a siren installed near the house. I don't really see the point. Nobody I know has a basement. I know exactly one person who has a tornado shelter. It's a safe bet the odds of catching an ER-worthy spider bite in it are greater than being hit by a tornado.

We had two tornado warnings already. One just above us (north Monroe county) and one just below (north Bibb). It’s settled down hear. No sirens that I could hear. Been up since 4:00

So, nothing around the BUTTs (county)?

Storm radio started going off at 3.30, with tornado watches turning to warnings from 4-5.30 Generator has been running since then. When they specifically mention your town instead of the county it's time to get out of bed.

Microburst hit the house and knocked over the little wrought iron bistro table and 2 chairs on the back patio. Only problem there was a glass vase/planter thing on the table. Been sweeping up glass shards all morning. And of course that area is the only area the dogs are interested in!!

went through Roswell around 3.30.....lost power a little after 4....been on generator since....no repair time by Ga Power yet....

Started here just before 6am and we lost power almost immediately. No damage, and power came back on just before 1pm.
