Trying to help out a friend with cancer. Anyone have access to an outdoor range?

Hey everyone,

A good friend of mine (Air Force/desert storm vet) is undergoing chemo therapy and we’ve had to stop shooting at our local indoor range.

He lives in Gwinnett County area and I’m hoping to surprise him with a place to shoot out in the woods or at an outdoor range. We usually shoot on Sunday.

Does anyone have a piece of property that they wouldn’t mind letting us shoot on? I’m hoping to find a place close to Gwinnett if possible.

I’d gladly throw someone a few bucks for their time. The open air would be good for him and it would help to raise his spirits because shooting is his one true passion.

Not exactly what you're looking for, but the Wilson Shoals WMA range is up that way. 100 yard outdoor rifle range and a bunch of pistol bays. Recently renovated a couple years ago.

Thanks for the tip. You jogged my memory about this range, I haven’t been to it but I heard good things years ago. I see it’s about an hour away.

I think we are open to conforming to the situation that presents itself. We can shoot pistols, rifles: 25 yards to a few hundred yards, we are open to whatever the property owner or range owner allows.

I have a private property outdoor range I can get you on outside of Cartersville. Pistol/carbine bay, 200yd rifle range, and 400yd rifle range. Not open to the public, so you’d have it to yourself, other than me.
