After 21 years at the same place, I've decided it was time to part ways. Parting on good terms and am going to stay for at least the next month in order for my position to be filled.

Been there for over half of my life and have worked myself from the very bottom to the very top in that time.

It's kind of scary, but if I didn't do it now, I'd just put it off.

Props to you, man. I'm mulling over the same decision. 44 years old, been with my present company for 14 years, been in the same line of work for 26 years. I'd like to do something else while I still have some gas in the tank.

Wow. Cool man, hope everything works out for the better. I've been at the same place for 10 years. I like my job again now due to a position change a few months ago but before that I went looking and didn't like what I saw.

Lot's of people do that. Some people take risks, others play it safe. Usually great reward does't come without great risk.

I guess but I know quite a few people who have been out of work for 2-3 years. Hope the savings is up to par.
