Well,
I did a little bit more on the old girl, Lets do a little backing up forst.
I picked up a 1895ish 1915 Stevens 22LR falling block in less than desirable condition. The fist thing I did was strip and clean things up, then I found a .925 octagon barrel in .32 and had it sleeved to 17 mach2 and cut to a 18.5" long. I had the action trued as much as possible and cleaned up the flats.
Hand making a burled maple stock and forearm with a cresent butt plate.
Well as things go it got dissasembled and put in a parts bin till Sat, I pulled it out and bead blasted the lever and everything on the frame but the flats of the frame, I then did a case color finish to the flats and a blue black to everything else. the pictures show the forearm and barrel, I like the finish a whole lot , I think it is turning out just how i pictured it in my mind, now to polish out the barrel, blue it and finish the rear stock. What do you all think!
