Using 45 ACP Mags for 10mm 1911

I heard this could be done. Does anyone have any experience doing this?

Ruger seems to think so, as their new 10mm ships with mags stamped "45ACP".

The feed lips look like they've been "rolled in" a bit.

It depends on the shape of the feed lips on the magazine. Some 45 mags have feed lips that are rolled over therefore securely retaining the thinner 10mm and 40 caliber rounds.
GI style feed lips are too wide to retain 10/40 rounds.

Which 10mm mags did you buy? I guess I would go for Wilson Combat since I have had such good luck with their 45 acp mags.

Have had good luck with Italian Mecgar 10mm mags...
