The American Legion oughta have a service officer. Don't know where you'll get the ton of forms you'll need. Good place to start.

They told me they did not offer the Pact Act service, I was there last week for a eye exam.

Find a VA service office online or get someone to help you. You have to call the service office and get an appointment. I went to two, both had locked doors, sign said to call for an appointment. I called the one in Marietta, got an appointment for the next day, went in and got everything done in about ten minutes. Then they gave me an appointment to see a doctor in a contract office in Atlanta the next day. I was in that office about 10 minutes. Mission accomplished. I had filed for hypertension , Agent Orange presumptive, in 2012. If you have never used the VA before, it may take longer than it did me. Don`t wait. You have til Aug 9 to file and get back pay. After Aug. 9 you just won`t get back pay. Go for it.
