Value of spent brass.

I have about 16lbs of brass of various calibers. Its almost two 1 gallon ziploc bags full. I would guess its mostly 9mm and 38special and a few 45ACP. Its not sorted. I have a guy wanting to swap for loaded 38 spcl. Im curious what sort of value should I place on the fired brass?

varies by caliber. i don't know if anyone goes by weight. 9mm is about 10 cents a round. 38 a little more as is 45.

If it is once fired brass then usually a few cents each ($0.03-$0.05) for pistol brass. 9mm and 45acp are very common since it ejects and is usually left behind. 38 special is a little harder to come across in my opinion.

good folks, good prices, and good enough quality. if I remember right, 38 is about the least expensive brass out there after 9mm. lots of it floating around, not as many shooters these days...

holy crap, i have about 3000 9mm cases. want to buy some at that price?

9mm can usually be had for $25-30/K.

Well I made a deal with a local guy Im gonna trade 15.25lbs for 3/50 rd boxes of 125 gr hollowpoint ammo.
