Virginia woman admits buying 31 handguns in two weeks

So she basically did the same thing Eric Holder did? At least they went to US citizens, imagine if she gave them to Mexican drug cartel members, she would be locked away for years.

Just food for thought.

Really.....? Did she do a background check to make sure they were citizens? In case you didn't know there are millions of illegals in the US and on top of that a bunch of prohibited citizens like felons.....

Ok, let me rephrase it and say at least she did not intentionally give them all to mexican drug cartel members, unlike Eric Holder and his brilliant F&F plan.

This lady gets jail time, Holder gets a promotion.

This popped up on another forum several years ago and maybe here too. An older gentalman ( I forget his age ) had been buying and selling guns for years. He always did a BOS and recorded all his transactions in a folder. One day had a break in and some of his firearms were stolen. While fileing the report with the police he gets out his folder to show proof of ownership and values of stolen firearms.......long story short.....he is serving Federal Time now for dealing in firearms without an FFL.

Many of the most aggressive buyer/seller/traders went under ground on that forum after learning of the case.

The law has plenty of conveniently grey areas written into it,but makes it clear that buying/selling for profit without an FFL is illegal. Sure they would have there hands full catching and prosecuteing everyone doing it. You may claim to be selling your private collection but as already mentioned it will cost you a fortune and the threat of doing federal time is real.

It does amaze me at how many people are flirting with disaster trying to make a quick buck.

Very well said, it is not hard to see when things come back in stock and a few days later people are selling them Online for hundreds of dollars over retail again and again, you are breaking the law and acting like a money hungry criminal, just sayin.

I think it's pretty funny. We (ODT) had some douche bag on here just a few weeks ago going on about how he's sold 41 AR's in some short amount of time and he wasn't a dealer but had a dealer "friend". He pissed a lot of people off in that thread and that's the whole reason I posted the story. IDC what your stance or opinion is, if Federal LE decides you're breaking the law you had better have a lot of money put aside to support your opinion in court or you'll be in the same boat as the lady in the story.

The qustion is when does a hoby become a businss and I think if you sell gun,s every week it,s no longer a hoby it,s a business. Some of you will not agree with this but if you make money every week selling firearm,s you are runing a business.

My thought's are WHY didn't the current Gun Laws in Virginia pick up that she was trying to purchase the second gun in a month and kick out that she was qualified to perches it. so 31 in two weeks was the stopping point or did someone use one illegally and it came back as her gun. This is Proof that more gun control laws will NOT stop gun crime. they just want to rob the good citizens of all our God given right's and make us pay because the Fed's can't do there job.

Absolutely correct!

(Except Holder just made sure they would wind up in the wrong hands!)

What a complete ass! But that is par for the course these days!

I would imagine there is more to the story of this woman's situation. I bet someone set her up.... If she sold to anyone who represented themselves as an out-of-state resident or as a felon, she would be toast.

I really think they had a lot more to go on that just selling a few on the side as a hobby. There has to be something going on that drew their attention to her.
