After seeing/missing that deal, I found a Vortex Crossfire II 2X7X32 that can be had for $130 online. At 2x it can be shot with both eyes open very easily. Forgiving eye relief/eye box and gives extra top end magnification...a lot of scope for the money. I dont think the other Vortex was true 1x power so not much diff on 2x. It looks like 1x4x24 standard reticle is being discontinued in favor of the lighted reticle.
