I have learned that I don't ever want another VW. I bought this car from my nephew for $800 (it wasn't worth much more than that on KBB). I have had to replace the battery, then the headlight sockets, then rebuild the top of the engine, now I've got airbag codes and the passenger window just fell out of the track yesterday. I've spent more money on this thing than I would have if I had just coughed up the $2k and bought a Honda accord or something with 200K miles on it. Never again! LOL.

EDIT - bought as a 1st car "beater" for my son, who has already had his license suspended for wreckless driving, so I didn't expect it to last long. But I haven't even given it to him yet because I can't get the damn thing running safely.

It's usually the connection under the seat
Some people cut out the plugs and wire it together using epoxy wire nuts
