I have used Milorganite with good results.
I have taken hot peppers I have grown and mashed them up in water,strained the mash, and put the solution in a sprayer. You have to reapply frequently but it seemed to work. I guess you could use dried peppers also if you haven't grown any.
Build yourself a wabbit box and get the dumplins started!!
My son shot a rat head on with a 45 the other day. Said it pretty much just hollowed it out.

my wife works at a greenhouse and they can't use it because it's a hydroponic greenhouse but she recommends it for out side gardening for the customers
