I think the random nature of this proves it's just a plan by Walmart to get customers to have guns scanned. It's probably the only way they can get the sporting goods employees to learn how to open the gun cabinet and use the scanner.

Oakwood tried to sell me two 270s yesterday, they said they were clearanced, but I didn't get the prices as I don't need, nor flip. They may be good trade items though... I wish they sold WASRs.

The truth about guns is sometimes neither. Walmart is rotating out slow moving stock. Most of those guns have been in the stores for years. Walmart does this and will keep doing this

Wal Mart in Madison had none of the good deals, and Covington had one Vanguard in .30/06 for $249, but the staff is completely clueless. My Dad wanted it, and went through all the paperwork, on a friggin computer screen, then when he was supposed to sign, the signing pad was missing from the counter, and the helpless, hopeless morons, including the manager, could not do anything about it except to say, "we're not gonna be able to sell it..." Idiots. My Dad was boiling. He is not one to make a scene, or even complain most of the time, but he was pissed after 30 minutes of dealing with them. I haven't seen him that angry in a long time. Avoid Walmart!

FTFY. I'd rather have root canal without benefit of lidocaine than to buy a gun at Walmart.
