Carrying a firearm in a concealed manner is legal in all states, but open carry has more restrictions, especially for handguns. Though federal law doesn’t restrict the open carrying of handguns in public, several states—including California, Florida, Illinois, New York, South Carolina and Texas—ban the practice, according to the Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence. Thirteen states require a special permit or license to open carry. The remaining 31 states don’t require one.

Kroger formed the most reasonable response to this promotion to embrace anyone not LEO/Military should be banned from open carry. A segment desires it to be an aberration when a civilian is seen armed and resist the notion that it may become accepted and unworthy of their fear agenda. This seriously worries them endlessly. They must make it odd, strange and ill minded to observe a common serf openly armed.

The odd thing is most never take the effort to understand just when and honestly why the people at the state level were denied the right to open carry or the motives.

It's never been about honest public safety but rather "CONTROL" and compliance with the state's restrictions forced upon the people.

"Disarm the Negro" is an excellent valid resource of just why we Georgian's allowed our rights to be restricted and creating the precedent of yet further restrictions repeatedly for "public safety". Adolf Hitler was all about "public safety" as it allowed him to be granted the power he strived for.

It's always been about control nothing more.

------> BEEYOUTEEFULLY PUT! Insofar as "public safety", many studies, & much data collected later, the old adage, "More guns, Less Crime" has been thoroughly tried, tested & proven. The chosen political party of "oh-me-so-smart" liberals & progressives will never cease to instigate & embrace any violence, justifiable or criminal, in order to further enhance "people control".
