Walton WMA, Shooting Ranges, Walton County?

I am planning a trip to Chalrie Elliot to sight in a few guns soon. I was unsure if Charlie Elliot was on the GORP list and decided to check the Georgia DNR website to make certain.

As I scroll down the list of Areas and Facilities I see this:

Does anyone have any information on this location?

yes at CE you will have to have the GORP big sign outfront,there is an office you can buy one at on the wma at the office.

WTF?

Would a WMA license cover it? You can buy a daily license for a buck or $19 for the year. I know it lets you hunt and fish on all of GA's WMA's

Yep a WMA (Wildlife Management Area) stamp covers it. A sportsmans license also covers it as does honorary and lifetime licenses . under 16 or over 65 are exempt.

I've never seen so many obnoxious rednecks in my life shooting in one place. I always recommend people take a friend with them and then when the range is supposed to be cold, make sure you have a weapon at your side, because there's always one dumbass who sends a round or two down range afterwards.
