Didn't they sell out to some big corporation ? they ain't been the same since they moved from the old 5 location

There just ain't many good ole mom n pop places anymore, that salesman will have his judgement day

I agree, they haven't been the same since they moved. It used to be fine pit stop on day trips through the mountains, not worth the trouble now.

In my younger days I worked in a gun store and we often sent people to the BB for guns we didn't sell, it was a chain store, and that was 95. They are not what they once were. The last time I was there I was looking for what a hunting knife, I found what I wanted but it was behind the counter. I stood there waiting for some help, with the customer no service rep 3 feet away talking on the phone, and another customer no service rep not much further away. After waiting about ten minutes, I walked behind the counter and grabbed the knife off the peg. Like a flash, they were on me, telling me I couldn't be back there and telling me they were going to call the cops because I was stealing. I told the lady that was bull*****, that I was tired of waiting for help and just wanted to purchase the knife at the checkout counter. The darn knife was only $25 to begin with. I never went back, those a**holes can keep their stuff.

To the OP: Terribly sorry a scumbag salesman/store took advantage of your wife. Clearly she was trying to give you a special Christmas, and it went south. Just know there are good, solid shops around, and thank you for letting us know BB doesn't deserve any of our future business.

Hey Guys,
Just thought I would throw out my 2 cents worth. I have been doing business with them since the old days on 5 and have always been pleased. Never had an issue, never seen an attitude. As a matter of fact they have always been friendly, professional and helpful.

There are a couple good people in there and the rest are those people. Get the short haired woman to help you if you have to go there.

Thanks for the heads up! I had my own "Ignore the customer situation" there. That, and the attitude of most of the sales people there guaranteed that I won't spend a dime with 'em. I see things are no better there.

.....shame on them if they did that I think theres a law against it for a dealer ..maybe u check in on it and black list them to the local chamber of commerce ...also if I don't like something theres allways civil court ....but don't take the gun in there with u lol..have a dealer look at it and write it down for u if ur receipt saids new u will win.

I also heard all the hype about BB, and when I went looking for a Kimber, my first stop was "Adventure Outdoors" (accidently). Adventure Outdoors had one for $960. (in stock). Remembering the info on the BB, I called them first. Bargin Barn told me that they were only getting in the orders from the previous year, and had to distribute them first, BUT, I could order on if I wanted. I asked how much it would cost, they told me $1200. to $1300. I went the following day to Adventure Outdoors and bought the one they had, it came with "Crimson Trace Grips" included in the price. I've heard that after BB burned down, it was sold to new owners and rebuilt, and now this is the kind of advertising that I keep hearing. Maybe you should consider Adventure Outdoors in the future, I've had an excellent experience there.
