Way too early... Deer Rifle 2016-17 thread.

Yeah that's what I want. 2.5-3 lb pull is light enough for me. I haven't put a gauge on my factory trigger but it has to be 5 lb....It is supposed to be adjustable but the A Bolt II trigger is a PITA to mess with. I would probably screw it up. This spring kit should be simple enough and make it about right.
They supply a 3lb and a 2lb. The 2lb is actually right at 2.5, which is exactly what I like.

Last, but not least, my modified Browning A-Bolt 300WSM. My go-to big game rifle. It has dozens of game animals in 9 different species on it. Everything from 50lb Bushbuck to 850lb Kudu and I've lost track of how many deer. Almost all of them with the Barnes 168gr TTSX bullet. No better combination than the 300WSM and that bullet for all-round big game hunting.
Did you have to put a stiffer recoil spring in to shoot the Supers?

Actually haven't done the mods yet, but I plan on getting a barrel with a fully supported chamber and a heavier spring before I even try the supers. They say you don't need to, but they also say it will beat the hell out of the gun of you don't.

Hmmm, thinking about deer hunting with my Glock 41 got me thinking about checking to see if anyone is making a 10mm conversion barrel for them yet. Storm Lake is making a 6.02 length conversion for the Glock 21 and the 41 barrel is only 5.31, but Storm does not say it can be used in the 41. I'm wondering if this is an oversight or if the outside diameter of the 21 and 41 barrels is different. I've got the 41 to measure. Can anyone post up that measurement for the 21?
