What’s your cure for kidney stones

Whatever you do, DON'T drink cranberry juice. Most people lean on that for bladder infections but it has the reverse effect on kidney stones as it contributes to the oxellate build up of the stone(s). Drink a lot of water. Try for a gallon a day.

I had them last year and rarely drink anything but water anymore. I have a high pain tolerance but two weeks to pass one stone and another week to pass the other had me wanting to jump in front of a moving car. Worst pain I had ever had.

The only thing that helped the pain was when I was at the hospital, because this was a first for me, was a dose of Dilaudid. I could finally rest a little bit. At home all that would help is a hot shower pointed at my back. I think I took 6-10 showers a day during that time.

Wish you the best. Hope it passes soon (pun intended).

Had one 15 years ago. Deduced it was either from creatine or whey protein powder. I was working out regularly and those were the only new things in my diet. Havent had either since and havent had a stone since.

As much water as you can handle and jumping up and down got me through my last bout. Passed one the size of a grain of rice. My 1st experience involved the ER and $7k out of pocket with insurance. Water and jumping in my experience is just as effective, less invasive and one hell of a lot cheaper!
If the pain is too much for you, you can substitute light beer for the water. Water with lemon juice is a good thing to drink to keep them from forming. Seems to be working for me. Good luck 👍

I have passed hundreds of them over the last 40 years. I think I have tried everything. Now I take a med called alapuranol and drink about a gallon of water a day. I have had 2 in the past year. I feel your pain. Good luck

I thought was gout medicine. Makes sense though.
