What’s your cure for kidney stones

This, I have a bottle of Dilaudid at home for just that reason. I drink lemon water all the time and have a prescription for potassium citrate and take 1 per day. Flomax will help open up your urethra to help in passing. I know these things I’ve had 14 stones, and lithotripsy 3 times.

I forgot the Flomax I keep it one hand to it does help them pass

when i drink lots of water(sometimes beer) on a regular basis I don't get them. hospital and er trips are no fun. Had several that i passed analyzed. Urologist said it's just that I dont keep the kidneys 'wet' enough. Good luck with yours(and everyone else on here)

I fought one for 5 days straight, then had to have it removed arthroscopically.

Going through the issue, and through doc visits, I found that I checked not a single box for the stuff that typically causes kidney stones. At the time, I didn't drink soft drinks or energy drinks. I didn't eat the "wrong" foods. I ate all the "right" foods. I exercise regularly. I hydrate.

Just lucky, I guess.

My mother had them all the time. She drank lots of tap water. I never had them until I started drinking lots of tap water when I was in my 20's. It finally occurred to me that we were both drinking tap water. I switched to filtered water and have not had one since. I grew up on soda, and drink a more than I should now, for me that does not seem to be a cause. As another poster already posted, lots of different types of stones. You need to catch one and have it analyzed. Could be calcium or other minerals. As for curing ones you already have. Lots of Percocet's and stay hydrated with beverages that use filtered water.

Last Feb had a 1.5 cm crushed after local doc been pissing around for a year waiting to pass.finally got appointment at piedmont within 3 weeks it was gone. Pulling this stent 2 weeks after surgery in the office hurt like hell.

I pulled my own out, drank 2 16oz of water, got in the shower, warm water and pulled it out. When you start peeing thru a strainer it’s like sand and gravel.
