im sure my sks isnt the best hunting rifle and you need a permit? what else do i need? where to go?

License at Wally World. Sks is a great rifle to start with... I hear there is great hunting In Piedmont Park.
You will need a hunting license. No permit.

First you need to take the hunter's safety course.
Second, you need to purchase a hunting license, a big game license, and a harvest record. All three can be purchased online (and you save a few bucks doing it that way).
Third, you need someone to show you what in the heck to do.
Fourth, you need to find a place.
Finally, LEGALLY, in Georgia you can use any centerfire rifle to take deer. For MOST situations the shots are well under 100 yards and if you are very proficient with your SKS it can certainly suffice provided you use a properly constructed bullet (no it's not very common).

Depends on how old you are. Born before certain you don't need the HSC.
