im looking for cheap military surplus rifles im just wouldering what some cheap ones or odd ones are any ideas? i know about the mosin and 8mm mausers but what else is out there??
Swiss k31. 250-300 for the gun, quality ammo for .50 a round. If you've never shot one, is a treat. Shooting it for the first time a couple months ago, I made one jagged hole at 50 yards shooting off a bag with my first 5 rounds. I'm not that good, especially with open sights, and give all the credit to the rifle and the best trigger on anything I own.
Love my Brit .303 and 8mm Mausers. Mosins are okay I guess if you get a carbine. I hate the 91/30s though it's hard to miss when your muzzel is half way down the range.
Not exactly cheap ($300-500) but the Swedish mausers are regarded as being very accurate. The 6.5x55mm is still a pretty popular and flat-shooting round.
