All of the cut marks are horizontal to the ground, if it goes all the way up to 8.5', how would a man be able to swing a hatchet at that angle that high?

As far as I know we don't have porcupines around here, but anything can happen. I've seen a few bears and a panther pass through this neck of the woods over the years.
