What dog food do you use for a picky eater?

I have two senior dogs. (16 yrs old). One will eat anything you put in front of her while the other one will go for days without eating if I don’t change up her food. I have always tried to buy premium food, which is hopefully why they have lived this long. But the one is starting to look skin and bones in her old age. Lately, I’ve tried changing it up for her every couple of weeks to a different brand. It starts out with her eating it well, then so/so then stops again completely. I know at some point I’ll have to say goodbye but I’m trying to make sure she is at least comfortable while she’s still here. I’m kind of at a loss for options. What do you use and where do you buy it? I’m open to options I maybe haven’t seen yet in the stores.

our beagle never lost her appetite even when she got doggie dementia. My neighbor's boxer mix though when he was about 15 quit eating. she would buy chicken breast for Max and he seemed to like it better than any canned soft food. (he had already quit eating kibble because of his teeth)

Our 13 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel had been eating Honest Kitchen dogfood for years, then got picky. We started mixing it with a little Fresh Pet food and she gobbles it down.

She’s on again off again with canned food too. I’ve given it to her mixed with dry and even by itself. She’ll sometimes like it for a few days then start walking away from her full bowl again.

I haven't used it in a while, but they used to sell doggy gravy - meant to be added to dry, I guess.
If you can find several flavors/brands, maybe try mixing different combinations to keep it different?

My wife makes our two Yorkies food...chicken, brown rice. Makes a large batch then vac seals and freezes it in smaller portions. Sometimes adds a small side of sweet potato and salmon oil.
They eat twice a day.

When dogs get older, they will go their own way. You can go the chicken route, most dogs go for it, easy to chew and digest. My Grandmother cooked liver for hers, I thought it was strange but I understand now. Good luck with it.

I have an in law with a CavaPoo, had him about a year and already cooks chicken for him, he is picky out of the gate.
