What dog food do you use for a picky eater?

I have two senior dogs. (16 yrs old). One will eat anything you put in front of her while the other one will go for days without eating if I don’t change up her food. I have always tried to buy premium food, which is hopefully why they have lived this long. But the one is starting to look skin and bones in her old age. Lately, I’ve tried changing it up for her every couple of weeks to a different brand. It starts out with her eating it well, then so/so then stops again completely. I know at some point I’ll have to say goodbye but I’m trying to make sure she is at least comfortable while she’s still here. I’m kind of at a loss for options. What do you use and where do you buy it? I’m open to options I maybe haven’t seen yet in the stores.

You need to convince your dog of how good the food is. Let him watch you eat a few bowls of it and I bet it comes around. :)

Sorry, I don't have anything more relevant to add but I've heard chicken and rice is really good for them. When our lab got sick that was about the last thing we could get him to eat.

My old beagle was picky but loved a raw egg mixed w/ a glass of milk. There used to be a dog food out called "Gravy Train" I think. You could mix warm water w/ the dry food and it would make a gravy of sorts. The beagle liked that as well but I don't know if they make it any longer.

I have only had experience with true hunting dogs. Usually you look out in the pen and they are dead. All of them usually died shortly after they aren’t able to hunt. My cousin had to have his oldest deer dog put to sleep at 17 years old. She just wouldn’t give up. This sounds like taking care of old folks that y'all are describing.
