What haggling Bothers you

There is only one thing that bugs me and it does so much I'll usually just ignore the person.

I post something with a price and the first IM from someone is "What's your bottom price". WTH? I've told you my price now if you don't like it, tell me yours. Don't ask someone to haggle with themselves.

I am always amused by the phrase "best price" because it's subjective. The best price for the seller would be enough to retire on the one sale. Maybe the buyer has something different in mind?

When someone always knows where they can buy it cheaper. If they can get it cheaper elsewhere, then why the hell aren't they buying it there!?

I appreciate the feedback if my price is too high. I was trying to move a Sigma when a member told me about the rebates on new ones making them cheaper than mine. At first I was a little upset but I adjusted my cash price accordingly. I ended up trading it but I never would have moved it without the input.

I have only been haggled with at the meet 2 times. One guy was the seller and actually stuck me for 20 bucks but it was still enough deal that I did it and the other guy inspected my gun and offered me 150 less. I told him to kick rocks and drive the 40 miles back home. I got pretty upset the other night when I took a chance on a new member to buy my p229r sct in 9mm offered a cash sale then backed out saying he got screwed on a sale now he can't buy mine. Dont play the game unless you got the cash in hand dammit!!!

deal breaker for me is coming up with BS reasons it should be lower. or someone saying they could get it for x amount here..........so go there, thats what i think.

it doesnt offend me when people try, just when they treat me stupid

If you agree on a price and when you get to the meet they try and go lower, I just grab my stuff get in the truck and leave.

+1 I have had this happen before. For a $300 toy we had agreed to price on. They guy asked if I'd take 275 when we met up. So I asked him if he'd give me $325.

I have a mini 14 I listed on here yesterday for $450. It is marked SPM, and still woke up this morning to an offer of basically saying, "I'll give 50 bucks less and you pay to have it shipped to my FFL." Well, number one you do not need to ship a rifle to an FFL, can be easily mailed through your local post office right to your door. Number two, no thank you.

Another thing that bothers me is lying. This is a true story that happened with me on GON. I sold a pistol to a guy who supposedly lived 3 hours away from me. We agreed on a spot that was in the middle, causing me to drive an hour and a half. Once there, I asked to see his GA DL for the bill of sale. Guess what! The city listed on his DL was the city we were in!! This bastard went to all the trouble of changing his profile to reflect that he live in a town farther from his own. I am guessing he has done this before and planned to do it after. I simply handed him his DL back, picked up my pistol box off my tail gate, gave him a friendly f*ck off, got in the truck and left. Also noted it on his feedback, but I figure he just created another profile and kept his scam up.
