What haggling Bothers you

Dang! That guy was rude.

Another thing that bothers me is lying. This is a true story that happened with me on GON. I sold a pistol to a guy who supposedly lived 3 hours away from me. We agreed on a spot that was in the middle, causing me to drive an hour and a half. Once there, I asked to see his GA DL for the bill of sale. Guess what! The city listed on his DL was the city we were in!! This bastard went to all the trouble of changing his profile to reflect that he live in a town farther from his own. I am guessing he has done this before and planned to do it after. I simply handed him his DL back, picked up my pistol box off my tail gate, gave him a friendly f*ck off, got in the truck and left. Also noted it on his feedback, but I figure he just created another profile and kept his scam up.

To all the guys who think their used guns are worth what they paid for them new and the "well go buy it there" guys:

If the value of your gun went up, would you only ask what you had in it? If you paid $500 for a gun 10 years ago and it was worth $1,000 in the current market, would you take $500?

Don't get offended when someone enlightens you to the current market value of your item, and makes an offer based on that value.

I have stopped trading on here for awhile I got tired of seeing used or well used guns at or above new gun prices. Meanwhile the guy I am trading with wants to offer me about 25% of my guns value and absolutely refuses to budge or reason. When you try to explain to them things like market value or show them the current going rate for their used gun on gun broker, ect they get upset. It just was not worth it. There are a lot of good, reasonable guys here but at the same time there are a dump truck load of **** heads too and unfortunately they seem to be the ones that make the most noise. I would much rather just go out and buy what I want new at a gun store. You can get it pretty much for the same price anyways and you don't have to put up with the back and forth. Some people need to get clued in. This isn't 2008 anymore there isn't a gun shortage.

that's why i only deal with nice people on here :O)...if somebody has something at a good price i don't try to talk them down, if they have something close to what i want to pay i'll make them an offer...they can take or leave it and both have happened....when i'm selling and they low-ball me and tell me why i should sell it to them at the price they offer i just say no thanks...none of this is worth getting all worked up about....if you let others get you worked up you will stay worked up :)

Attempts to Re-Haggle the price or deal, after one has been worked out.
Any trade offer that has to do with black powder, bow, or 4wheeler.
Any idiot that hands me(someone they do not know) a loaded firearm, to inspect prior to trade/sell.
Insisting that since its $$$ new at a retail store, it is worth that much used.

Captdave, you are absolutely right. If we ask the right questions about condition we will usually get good info, and as the seller if we are truthful about condition we will generally not have a problem at the meet. After that, I know, there are some out there that call a "rustbucket" "excellant condition". there is nothing you can do to help those individuals. I don't think they will ever get it. Wallace
