I heard that they went bankrupt and had come back. I had thought about picking up a 16 inch barreled carry handle sight bushmaster. Since they’re making them again what’s a used one worth or going for these days? I never see them for sale hardly.

I know where one can be had for 600.
I have a early 2000's fixed carry handle model and I love mine. It has the smoothest action of any shelf gun I have ever held. I looked for what seemed like forever to find another carry handle model of the same time period and couldn't even find one of the newer ones. Even in the LE trade in sites they were all sold out. Not in the market now but I wouldnt hesitate to buy another like mine when I have the cash on tap.
Interesting enough, my experience was completely opposite. I liked the rifle, it had all the goodies. The trigger pull was the worst
I replace the FCG. I was speaking do charging the weapon. The action there is butter. The triggers on most of the guns in that price range stink. That's the only mod I made to mine. I don't shoot it much to keep it in like new condition. Oddly enough it's kinda one of my favorites. Mostly because of the carry handle look reminds me of the old Vietnam era guns. It's just one of those guns that I grew up seeing from the time I knew I loved guns.
Are you talking about Bushmaster that is owned by Freedom Group or Wyndham Weaponry that is were Bushmaster was once made and recently was about to go out of business but was saved by "angel" investors?

I like the old Colt SP1. The Bushmaster was the old carry handle model. Had the heavy barrel. Even still, it was better than the S&W AR. Saw a lot of problems with those. And I'm not a fan of flip up sights either
I believe it's a 2004 model. That's what the rep at BM said she I called to have it dated. So I think that's a pre Wyndham era. Correct me if I am wrong.

There is no Pre Wyndham Bushmaster. There is Post Wyndham as in New York, Alabama, and Nevada made BM.

But I do still have my restricted roll mark Bushmaster:
In 2011 is when Bushmaster moved out of Maine. And 2004 was the end of the AWB / Restricted Roll mark AR, so it you could have a 2004.
Freedom Group did go out of business in 2021 but a Nevada based company bought BM and they have produced firearms since. Not sure on quality though.
The Wyndham Weaponry rifles have been great at their price point but just get over showed by either cheaper guns or more recognizable brands, unfortunately.
